The Simpsons guest stars have always featured iconic celebrities. Since its debut season in 1989, the show has featured the who's who of notable personalities, from actors, comedians, musicians, and athletes, among others.
The most notable Simpsons guest star to date is said to be the late comedian and "Saturday Night Live" standout Phil Hartman, who has appeared on the show 52 times before his death in 1998.
Other prominent figures include Jay Leno, Elton John, Irish music sensation U2, and author Stephen King just to name a few.
According to MTV.co.uk, the Simpsons guest stars, who will be appearing on the show's 26th season, include veteran actors Willem Dafoe (Spiderman), Jane Fonda (Barbarella), "Parks And Recreations" star Nick Offerman, and "Frasier's" David Hyde Pierce.
Also slated to guest on the iconic cartoon series are comedians Sarah Silverman and Jeffrey Ross.
