Xbox One News Update: Destiny is slated for launch in September 2014 and Destiny Beta has provided numerous discoveries for the makers of the game, Bungie. Belleview, Washington-based Bungie began their foray into game development in 1991. The Destiny Beta is currently open to all interested players and no code is required to play and download the game. In order to begin play, navigate to your matching console store (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360) and Destiny Beta should pop up in your search.
Ahead of the scheduled Destiny launch in September, the Destiny Beta is offers an opportunity to play Destiny, while providing Bungie with valuable data and feedback. Destiny Beta includes creating your character, story missions, cooperative and social activities, competitive multi-player, and a whole lot more.
The Destiny beta was 'an eye opening' experience for Bungie, says the website: "We’ve watched the world of Destiny come to life. Guardians from every platform have arrived at the Tower from their battles in the wild. We have watched your adventures with great interest, and listened to your feedback. Your missions have provided us with volumes of discoveries."
Destiny beta will require more players to jump in and test the game out. Bungie is inviting all players to join in the fun and experience the fantastic gameplay, uncompromising artistic elements and storytelling at its best.
The story begins with a 'Welcome to the Frontier': "Our civilization once spanned the solar system. Its ruins are still out there: buried in the dunes of Mars, hidden in the jungles of Venus, lost in a wild and abandoned Earth. For centuries we've huddled under the safety of the Traveler, protected from our enemies.
