A young women's volleyball player from Team Kazakhstan has captured the hearts of Asian fans- not because of her skills, but mainly because of her beauty.
Sabina Atlynbekova is the name. And she is just seventeen, and it is obvious she is a queen! Critics have said that her pretty face has distracted everyone from the sport.
Because of this, her coach has expressed his concern.
"It is impossible to work like this," said Nurlan Sadikov, Kazakhstan national under-19 team volleyball coach, via the Tengrin News, translated by the Daily Mail.
"The crowd behaves like there is only one player at the championship."
According to a Kazalh newspaper named Vesti, "Fans just stare at her and they are not following the championship any more."
She began to gain fame because of a recent tournament in Taiwan. The Asian people have accidentally watched her on TV, but the time is more than enough to have them falling in love with her.
Below is a video of her playing in Taiwan (But surprisingly, no fans):
A report from the Strait Times have said that Taiwanese fans show up early in the games just to see the tall and pretty player.
In an Bleacher Report, her mother, Nuripa Amrievna said: "I wanted her to be admitted to the law (school), but she chose sports," according to a Google translation.
But she also did not deny that there have been offers to model (look at those legs!)
"But she will not go there -- we as parents are against (it)," the mother was quoted as saying.
The beautiful player finally released a statement via Daily Mail UK, saying, "I was flattered at first but it's all getting a little bit much.
"I want to concentrate on playing volleyball and to be famous for that, not anything else."
Sounds like she won't be auditioning for Asia's Next Top Model!
