Fans who flocked to the Saturday Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego to see the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' superheroes in the flesh, had the rare chance to get inside their fave hero's head courtesy of IGN. The stars took turns in sharing their thoughts on the movie with the panel. First star on the hot seat of the IGN interview was Robert Downey Jr.
Robert, whose name is synonymous to his Iron Man character, takes on the role again in the upcoming 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' movie. Here are his thoughts on three significant topics raised by the IGN Reporter during their discussion:
1. On 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Upping the Stakes
The reporter raised the question to clarify how a large movie like the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' works to up the stakes and give its fans a much better viewing experience. Robert answered, saying that it was about the fashion in which they did the movie. According to him, it defined the classiness of the manner - which their producer Kevin Feige has supported throughout -whereby Director Josh Whedon and the rest of the cast executed the scenes of the superhero action flick.
2. On the Much Awaited Battle Between the Iron Man, Clad in His Hulk-Buster Suit, and the Incredible Hulk
Robert divulged that he felt as if they have been working on the sequence for two years, given the meticulousness of the sequences and their efforts to make it excellent for their audience. He added that creating their fight goes beyond making it a highly believable rowdy brawl. He emphasized the need for including an important element that makes it more than just a good fight. According to him, the good thing about the movie is that it emphasizes an important lesson about good friends who end up fighting: Nobody wins.
3. On James Spader's Ultron
Robert admitted that he loved Spader's inclusion in the story. His presence as villain made for a more exciting movie. However, he mentioned that fans have more to expect because of all the new talents present. He said that it would be a kind of a toss-up between the characters, in determining who among them will stand out. He then piqued his fans interest by saying that the Marvel universe has never seen anything like what James Spader is doing - and that is exactly what they will find out when the movie opens in 2015.
