The new iPhone 6 may have finally have a confirmed release date, while specs for both the new iPhone and iPad air 2 still remain to be rumors.
Apple fans could already mark September 9 on their calendars, at least that is what Re/code's John Paczkowski is telling you. The Apple expert has reportedly made an announcement that the iPhone 6 will most likely be released on the said date.
This bold prediction can be attributed to the fact that the innovation giant has released their iPhones during the same month.
According to Yahoo, "The iPhone 6 is expected to be a radical departure from Apple's previous iPhones. The handset is said to sport a much larger 4.7-inch display, compared to the iPhone 5s' 4-inch screen, as well as a faster processor for better performance and an improved camera. Various rumors also indicate that the next iPhone will use what's referred as a sapphire crystal display, which would make the handset's screen far more durable than the iPhone 5s'."
"Other reports point to Apple also launching an even larger 5.5-inch iPhone that would help the company compete with so called "phablets" like Samsung's massive 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3, especially in China."
Rumor also has it that the new iPad Air will also have an October launch. This assumption springs from the fact that Apple has been releasing the tablet during the same time in the past years.
According to Christian Today:
"The report said that the mass production of the display parts of the new iPad Air tablet has started sporting the same form factor as its predecessor. The iPad Air 2 will come with the same 9.7-inch screen display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, 264 ppi. It will also have the same lightness as the current iPad Air."
Aside from having major improvements on its speed and performance, the iPad Air 2 will have Apple's fingerprint scanner technology called TouchID which first debuted on the iPhone 5S.
MobileFun has recently leaked photos of the iPad Air 2 cases which shows the TouchID sensor.
The new iPad is rumored to be waterproof. While there is no confirmation on that speculation yet, Apple users will surely just have to stay up to date on the latest announcements from Apple.
