Are Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke headed for something serious? Actor says theirs is a perfect romance because of their friendship.

The couple is going strong ever since they met on the set of "Kill Your Darlings" in 2012, and the "Harry Potter" star says their solid friendship is the one thing that keeps them together.

In an interview with people.com, Radcliffe comments about their relationship." I'm going out with my best friend at the moment. And that's, I think, the way it should be."

It seems romantic relationships based on friendship runs in the family. Daniel says her parents also started out as good friends before they started dating. He finds his parent's love story inspiring.

"My mum and dad were best friends before they started dating, and now they've been married for 30-something years," Daniel said. "So, I think it is a very natural thing. If you can get to a point where you're dating or married to somebody you consider your best friend, that's what will make it work."

Considering how things are going, Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke are in a relationship for the long haul.

In related news, Radcliffe is slated to star in a romantic comedy. "What If" pushes him further out of his pegged character in the Harry Potter series, though.

Daniel's first risqué role was in Equus, where he stripped buck-naked in a scene, in front of a live theatre audience. It looks like he's not shying away from opportunities to shed inhibitions.

I can't get enough of being naked. It's not something that I'm trying to achieve. It's something that I don't have a problem with."
