Argentina Team News: ‘How Come Argentina Didn’t Call Me To Be Their Coach?’ –Maradona; Football Legend Envious Of Brazil’s Dunga?

Diego Maradona, Golden Ball winner and former Albiceleste player and coach has said that he is slightly sad about Argentina not ringing his phone, asking him to be their coach.

He also said that Lionel Messi's crew did not 'win well' in any of their World Cup games, even after placing second after Germany in a 1-0 game.

Maradona also hinted that he deserved the same chance and opportunity as Dunga's, who is now appointed as Brazil's coach after Luis Felipe Scolari quits following the Selecao's shameful defeats during the latter part of the World Cup in their hometown.

Dunga led Brazil in the 2010 World Cup.

Maradona became the Argentina national team's coach during the 2010 finals in South Africa, and he says that he deserved the same second chance as Dunga's.

"The team has no coach. I played for Argentina. If Brazil called Dunga, why didn't Argentina call me?" he told Ole.

"Anyway, I'm happy in Dubai and I don't have to kneel before anyone."

It can be remembered that it was Alejandro Sabella who coached the team during the last World Cup, but he has now quit his job too after Argentina lost to Germany in the finals of the World Cup.

Not to pop Maradona's bubble, but Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino is already deemed to be Sabella's successor.

Maradona continues to be unimpressed with his nation's performance during the World Cup in Brazil.

"I don't want to be harsh on Sabella or the players, but I don't think Argentina won a single game well," he added.

"You can look for good passages of play, but anyone who looks for a game in which we played well won't find one."

It can be remembered that he is also one of the protestors when Messi received the Golden Ball.
