LeBron James plans on staying with Cavs beyond contract

After announcing that he is going home, it seems like LeBron James has the intention of staying. James stayed at Miami for four years and had just gotten back to Cleveland last month.

James has just recently signed a two-year contract worth $41 million which includes an option after one year into the deal. He was criticized for choosing a far lesser deal as compared to what Heats had to offer but according to him "I looked at other teams, but I wasn't going to leave Miami for anywhere except Cleveland. The more time passed, the more it felt right. This is what makes me happy."

Cleveland fans were wondering whether James would still want to try the free agent market after one year as he only signed a two-year contract but all can breathe a sigh of relief after James made an announcement during his homecoming.

He said "'I don't plan on going nowhere. 'I don't have the energy to do it again."

Many where lined up and gathered waiting for James to arrive at the InfoCision Stadium on the University of Akron campus.

According to James "It's pretty amazing. I'm not gonna sit up here and say it's not. To know you can inspire so many people from the youth to I heard I got a grandma's club with 200-plus members. To know you can do things for people, give them hope, give them inspiration. It means a lot to me. I understand I'm a role model. I understand to these kids I'm more than a role model. I'm a superhero to them. I'm a father to them. I'm a brother to them, whatever the case they want me to be on that particular day."

On the other hand, there have been talks of Love moving over to Cleveland. James was one of the notable persons that pushed Cleveland to acquire Love to their team.

With this news James is ecstatic to play with him. He said "I'm going to be very excited to have him. I don't really care about the 26 (points) and 12 (rebounds). I care about the basketball IQ. His basketball IQ is very, very high. I had an opportunity to spend 32 days with him on the 2012 Olympic team. It's funny. I always told Kevin Love, 'You're very good, man.' He always thought I was blowing smoke. I always told him he was going to be a reason why we won the gold medal, and he played a huge role for us. So I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully it happens and everything is done right from a league-rules standard. He's a great piece."
