The Giver trailer is out in time for its August 15th release, according to an Entertainment Weekly report.
After more than 15 years in the making, Lois Lowry's novel's film adaptation will soon hit the silver screen.
The main character in the film was Jonas, played by 24-year old Aussie actor, Brenton Thwaites. Jonas was chosen to be the receiver of memory, to recall what life was like before the sameness descend on earth.
When Jonas takes on the responsibilities from outgoing "Giver", Jeff Bridges, he realized how much he has lost around his surroundings along the way.
Alexander Skarsgard and Katie Holmes played the characters of Jonas' parents. Meryl Streep as the community's chief elder, and Odeya Rush, as Fiona, Jonas' love interest.
Of course, Taylor Swift is also part of the cast. She played Rosemary, the chosen new giver before Jonas.
The Giver trailer may only show a minimal scene of Taylor's in the movie. But, if you pay attention enough, surely you won't miss Swift in the film!
Swifties have long been waiting for their idol's first formal film appearance. We can definitely expect Swift's fans to be among the majority of viewers for this film.
This is good news for the film's producers. Raking in audiences from Swifties will boost the film's box office hits in no time.
