The Garcia-Salka fight was hyped way in the beginning and Garcia did his part successfully. Danny Garcia was on the top of his game knocking out Rod Salka with 29 seconds remaining in the second round.

According to Garcia "I came here to purge. I told everybody tonight was going to be the Danny Garcia show. No matter who I fought tonight they were going to get beat. I was going to purge. I was out to kill."

It can be remembered that Salka had said that he is the best fighter at 140 pounds saying "I'm the best fighter at 140 pounds in the world. Titles are what they are, but would I rather fight some guy nobody ever heard of for a title or would I rather fight some guy everybody knows who he is for no title? You know what I mean? Why wouldn't I want to fight Danny Garcia? He's the best we've got out there. It's the biggest fight you could possibly get at 140 pounds. I really don't care if I can put a belt on at the end of it. I can take my purse and go out and have a thousand of those made if I wanted to, what is that?"

But it seems like his words got the best of him as Garcia finished off the game in the second round.

The 26 year old Light welterweight boxer has constantly been considered as a B-Side boxer and most of the time, viewers don't expect him to win. But during these times Garcia always had proven them wrong. He was able to beat Amir Khan and Lucas Matthysse during their fights.

Danny's trainer and father Angel Garcia said "He did what he was supposed to do. Salka came here to fight. But that's what Danny's supposed to do with these kinds of guys. I'm not talking about Salka. I'm talking about anyone."

Garcia delivered a good fight. Throwing punches after punches which had Salka on his knees twice throwing a left hand, and a left hook.

Garcia was dominant also in the score card landing 50 of 117 punches (43 percent), including 41 of 79 power punches while Salka had landed 10 of 69 punches, including just two of 42 jabs.

This is Garcia's shortest fight saying "It was a good fight. I don't think he still wants to fight me after watching my performance. We fought similar kinds of opponents and I made a statement. He was supposed to come here and make more of a statement. I'm going to keep entertaining. Upsets happen in boxing but they don't always happen."
