"Star Wars Episode 7" news updates hinted of a possible return of Harrison Ford after he was spotted without crutches on while boarding his jet, while a Denver resident won the chance to become one of the background figures in the upcoming Disney film.

The MailOnline offered "Star Wars Episode 7" news update when it published a series of photos of Harrison Ford walking by himself without the aid of crutches in Santa Monica on Wednesday.

He also climbed his jet without any assistance, while wife Calista Flockhart and their son followed closely behind. They also don't seemed to be too concerned with Harrison Ford without crutches.

Disney last month issued a statement, according to Associated Press, which said that "Star Wars Episode VII" will be stopped for two weeks in August due to the Harrison Ford injury.

The British tabloid said that the delay in production is already costing the studio millions.

However, the studio assured that the film is still on pace to be released for its target December 2015 release despite Harrison Ford's injury, which was sustained while filming for "Star Wars Episode 7" in June.

In other "Star Wars Episode 7" news, Denver resident D.C. Barnes won the raffle for the "Force For Change" contest. In a photo shared in his social media, director J.J. Abrams thanked the fans through a personal note held by a robotic hand.

The message reads: "Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to the Star Wars: Force for Change! Over five million dollars were raised to help Unicef Innovation Labs. We are all so grateful. DC Barns, see you on set!"

According to InsideTV, the studio didn't reveal any details about D.C. Barns, "All we know is he appears to be a soft-spoken fellow, fond of dark conference rooms, who has impeccable balance."
