After a series of propaganda-style teasers from the Capitol and a graffiti-like poster supporting the rebellion, Lionsgate has now released District 13's version of the story.
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' character posters look simple and clean, with each character standing in front of a gray wall with the number 13 (representing the underground District) and a name below it.
Far from the cheeky Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin) that fans saw in 'Catching Fire,' the District 4 tribute seems to have lost his smile in the poster, looking forlorn and determined at the same time. District 3's Beetee Latier (Jeffrey Wright) sits on a wheelchair, looking dazed.
Plutarch Heavensbee (portrayed by deceased actor Philip Seymour Hoffman) stands in a jacket, ready for battle, while Katniss and Peeta's alcoholic mentor, Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson) doesn't look as intoxicated as the previous instalments.
District 13's President Coin (Julianne Moore) also makes her appearance garbed in the standard uniform.
All of them are wearing District 13's all-gray ensemble to match the feel of the poster but the most shocking visual of all is Effie Trinket's (who is played by Elizabeth Banks) transformation from the Lady Gaga-like clothes and hair in previous movies to a simple button down dress. Her previously outrageously-colored hair is even covered up.
Of course, Effie's free-spirit couldn't be completely tamed. To keep in character, bright-colored bracelets adorn her wrists while light brown booties cover her feet.
Lionsgate unveiled the new set of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' character posters through District 13's website, District13.co.in, where fans can find clues to look for the posters.
'Mockingjay - Part 1,' which will hit cinemas on November 21 this year, stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Sam Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, and Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne.
The new Lionsgate film will be the first part of Suzanne Collins' third and final book of the futuristic series. 'Mockingjay Part 2' is set to be released next year, November 20. Both movies are directed by Francis Lawrence.
