Jackie Chan's son has been arrested for illegal drugs, said a report from Daily Mail. The troubled 32-year-old Jaycee Chan has been in several disagreements with his Hong Kong-born movie legend father, who said his son will not inherit any of his fortune after he dies.
Jaycee Chan was reportedly arrested at his Beijing home for possession of more than 3.5 ounces of marijuana. Chinese police have confirmed the discovery of drugs at the home of Jackie Chan's son.
Arrested along with Jackie Chan's son was his friend Kai Ko, a 23-year-old Taiwanese movie star. The two also tested positive for marijuana use, said Daily Mail.
Jackie Chan's son was born and raised in the U.S. He is also an aspiring actor and singer.
Jackie Chan and his son has previously been involved in family issues, with the martial arts legend going as far as saying he will not have Jaycee inherit any fortune upon his death.
According to the action star, he will instead donate his fortune to charity so that Jaycee will be encouraged to earn money all by himself.
The arrest of Jackie Chan's son and his friend is reportedly part of a series of celebrity drug use arrests being conducted by Beijing police.
The most recent drug-related arrest was that of Chinese actor Gao Hu. The 40-year-old actor was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.
Just last week, a total of 42 Chinese entertainment agencies have decided to boycott entertainers involved in drug use.
In other Jackie Chan news, the 60-year-old movie veteran has admitted that he thinks it may be time to slow down. A report from USA Today cited Jackie Chan saying that doing stunt work is "not like it used to be".
Jackie Chan said: "Now my body tells me to slow down 30 percent and probably in another two years, 20 more, then 50 percent. So slowly, slowly, then I will tell the whole world, stop doing action."
"Slowly, slowly I will let more people do it for me. Myself, I'll only do the tight shot, close shot,
otherwise the big wide shot, I'll let someone else do it," the action star said.
