Nicki Minaj's wardrobe malfunction is one of the most talked about highlights at the MTV Video Music Awards. Nicki Minaj was not shy at all in talking about backstage after she opened the night alongside Ariana Grande and Jessie J on Sunday.

She told the reports who were huddled up backstage, "You all know I had a wardrobe malfunction. We ran out of time getting the dress zipped up."

On Monday, Nicki Minaj further elaborated about her wardrobe malfunction. She wrote on her Instagram account, "God is good. As long as a nipple didn't come out to play, I'm fine." Her 7.8 million followers bore witness to her admission on her social media account.

Despite Nicki Minaj's infamous wardrobe malfunction, she still praised her style team and referred to them as "winners" and even declared that there were "no weak links" in her team. She wrote, "There's no greater feeling than having ppl who inspire u and who work passionately and relentlessly to get the job done."

While Nicki Minaj was performing with Jessie J and Grande for their hit single "Bang Bang," she was seen clutching her black dress shut right at the middle. It was a purposely revealing dress from YSL, but the mishap caused her to reveal more than she intended to. It was a good thing that, as Nicki Minaj put it, no nip slip happened.

This would not have been the first time that Nicki Minaj has managed to drop jaws during that night. Before her "Bang Bang" performance, she also performed her latest hit "Anaconda," wearing a little green bran and matching shorts that sparkled. As she has shared to "Good Morning America," despite her provocative dance moves, the song actually had a very powerful message.

Nicki Minaj said, "I wanted to reinstate something. Because of the shift in pop culture, even hip hop men are really glorifying the less curvy body. I want to say, 'Hey, ladies! You're beautiful.' Hopefully, this changes things and maybe it won't change things, but I love it."
