Have you read the latest "Doctor Strange" movie news and cast updates?

It seems that one of the upcoming Marvel movies will feature an unfamiliar face playing the title role. All eyes are on "Boardwalk Empire" star Jack Huston as he has been speculated to play "Doctor Strange."

Previous "Doctor Strange" movie news and cast updates have linked the role to other more popular actors like Patrick Dempsey, Joaquin Phoenix, John Hamm and even Johnny Depp. In a recent interview with IGN, Marvel president Kevin Feige was even asked if they have considered offering Depp the role, to which he replied with:

"A movie star is not required, but that doesn't mean a movie star wouldn't be great. It just depends."

Huston is a very unpopular choice, but his performance in "Boardwalk Empire" where he plays the character of Richard Harrow, definitely speaks volumes of his innate acting prowess.

The upcoming Marvel movie has yet to decide on its lead actor, so fans just have to wait and see, and even hope the best for their bets.

Who is "Doctor Strange?"

For those who are not familiar with the Marvel comic character, here is a short description published on Wikipedia:

"Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange (known as Doctor Strange) is a former neurosurgeon who serves as the Sorcerer Supreme - the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats."

"Doctor Strange has been described as "the mightiest magician in the cosmos", and as "more powerful by far than any of your fellow humanoids" by Eternity, the sentience of the Marvel Universe."
