Ladies, the glory of "Magic Mike" is to be experienced again.

Steven Soderbergh, who is involved in the production of the sequel of "Magic Mike," posted a picture of the movie's clapperboard on Sunday on Twitter with the caption, "It's ON!"

A crew was in the Myrtle Beach area to kick off filming for "Magic Mike XXL," which will star Channing Tatum. Although Tatum wasn't in Myrtle Beach over the weekend, assistant location manager Jody Schiesser with Red Zone Pictures Inc. said there will be actors in town for a couple days before the movie is finished filming in about six weeks, according to the website myrtlebeachonline.com.

"Magic Mike XXL" will reportedly be about a road trip where the strippers travel from Tampa to Myrtle Beach for a convention.

Myrtle Beach Convention Center general manager Paul Edwards said he is not aware that any filming will occur at the convention center.

"We will host anything that's allowed by law. In the past we have had groups that, as part of their entertainment, they had male and female strippers. But we have to abide by the same laws that the adult establishments have to abide by," Edwards stated.

The sequel to "Magic Mike" will be directed by Gregory Jacobs while Steven Soderbergh will be the film's director of photography, camera operator and film editor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"He worked as a producer on the [2012] movie and has been Steven's right-hand man for almost 25 movies," Channing Tatum told THR last summer of Jacob's directing role in the sequel.

Just because Soderbergh has handed the directing torch over to Jacobs doesn't mean that the Soderbergh touch won't be a part of the film.

"I want to be there, but I don't want to be the director. I want to be a part of it. I want to be in the band, but I just don't want to be the frontman this time," Soderbergh explained in GQ's June cover story.
