As per AllKpop, the restructuring was first confirmed by YG Entertainment earlier this year, which prompted Cha Seung Won to decide to leave to join KeyEast.

The agency said of the collaboration, "We are happy to work with actor Cha Seung Won, who has gained the public's trust for the last thirty years."

KeyEast said, "It will be an honor for us to host Cha Seung Won, who is one of Korea's leading actors. We will do the best we can to make the environment around his brilliant career shine even more for everyone to see, and support his various entertainment activities and challenges."

Cha had a busy year last year, appearing opposite Justin Theroux in the Disney+ original series Tyrant and the Netflix film Uprising.

We Can Be Heroes is a sequel to Rob Rodriguez's 2005 superhero film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

His initial push will continue, at least into 2025, and he has several other projects in the pipeline.

One of his upcoming works is Gwangjang, a Netflix series adapted from the Naver webtoon.

He will also appear in the highly anticipated I Can't Help It from director Park Chan Wook.

The Netflix production also includes Slowly Intense, starring Cha Seung Won in what is said to be a transformative role as Gil Yeo, and a collaboration with Our Blues writer Noh Hee Kyung.

Under KeyEast's management, Cha Seung Won is poised to continue proving that "Cha Seung Won's prime is whenever he is active."

KeyEast—widely known for representing talents like Chae Jeong An and Park Myung Hoon—has ramped up its production arm with projects that include Coupang Play's Family Planning and Disney+'s Trigger.

Looking ahead in this new chapter for Cha Seung Won, fans are looking forward to what is coming next from the actor in the entertainment line.
