Hopkins crushes Kovalev in Press Event for the HBO World Championship Boxing

Bernard "The Alien" Hopkins will face Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev inside the ring for the light heavyweight unification title bout at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ live on HBO World Championship Boxing. This will be happening on November 8.

This is why Hopkins was at a press conference last Tuesday to promote the fight. But Hopkins became the show stopper as he cleverly promoted the event making it the most anticipated game to watch out for.

Hopkins took the mic to answer questions from reporter in which one of the question he answered that fans should be worried about when he will retire from the sports rather they should be worried as he keeps on getting stronger the more he aged.

According to him "Everything I do at this point in my career affects my legacy. I've set and broken many records, but becoming the oldest undisputed light heavyweight world champion is the goal and Kovalev stands in the way of that goal. He's another young, hungry fighter and just like the ones that came before him, he will leave the ring beltless."

He urged his fans to watch the fight saying "watch Louis Armstrong with boxing gloves do his business."

Hopkins knows his limitations and he knows that the possibility of him getting beaten and knocked is there. He said "Anybody at the right time and the right place can get knocked out. It is his job to do what others try to do. It is my job to do what I've been doing. There's no pressure on me but one thing that is on Bernard Hopkins - that no other fighter really has to do deal with because they've never been in my situation is - how I continue to keep making history."

Hopkins is not afraid to face young competitors noting that he has been in the industry for three decade and he is looking forward to what the young competitors can bring inside the ring. He said "The sweet science is not based on only one thing you can do particularly well. If he comes in the game thinking a punch is all he'll need, he might be right, so you should watch. I'm walking a tightrope hundreds of feet in the air. He crushes people. Only three or four people survive his hammer."
