One of the fastest rising Aussie stars in Hollywood lands a role in "Point Break" remake. Teresa Palmer, who is best known for her role in "Warm Bodies" and "Love And Honor", will be joining Luke Bracey, Edgar Ramirez, and Ray Winstone in the reboot.
According to Variety, the film has been scheduled for release on Aug. 7, 2015 and will retain the original story of an FBI agent infiltrating a ring of criminals. But "Point Break" remake will be set in the world of extreme sports. Teresa Palmer will play Bracey's love interest in the new version of Kathryn Bigelow's epic surfing flick.
Teresa Palmer got married to director Mark Webber in 2013 and gave birth to a baby boy on February 17. The 28-year old actress named their son Bodhi, which also happens to be the name of the famous fictional character in "Point Break" played by the late Patrick Swayze. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it's really cool to know that her son's name is Bodhi.
Now that Teresa Palmer is a wife and a mother to a baby boy, I wonder how she feels about her new role. The Aussie actress revealed to Sunday Style how it's like being a mom. Palmer said, "It's been so beautiful. We talk about how grateful we are and how blessed we feel. You know, I think it's really important to acknowledge that."
Another blessing that came into her life is landing the female lead role in "Point Break" remake, but does she have time to focus on that movie? The star of "Take Me Home Tonight" revealed to the website that she will be taking her hubby and baby with her during filming.
Palmer said, "The whole brood together. That was one of the conditions in going back to work (after Bodhi)." She added, "They've been very gracious and open to that here on Point Break." The actress also talked about what people can expect in "Point Break" remake.
The Aussie actress said, "It's not a typical remake." She explained, "It's set in a new world on an international scale. I'm sitting here in Cortina, Italy, which has by far the most incredible, majestic mountains I've ever seen. We're not using green screen; it's all real. We're literally flying around the world to shoot this crazy stuff in the very best of nature."
