Fans of the 1991 surfing action flick are excited to see "Point Break" remake to see their favorite characters come to life on the big screen again. However, new actors will be taking over the roles of Keanu Reeves and the late Patrick Swayze. The "Matrix" star showed disinterest in doing a reboot so the producers tried to look for a new Johnny Utah.

Deadline reported last February that Alcon Entertainment has casted Luke Bracey for Johnny Utah. He was supposed to star alongside Gerard Butler, but the actor backed out and was replaced by Edgar Ramirez. The Aussie heartthrob made his acting debut in "Monte Carlo" in 2011 and has appeared in "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" as Cobra Commander.

Luke Bracey is one of the most promising stars in Hollywood so he is the perfect choice for "Point Break" remake. He recently starred in "The November Man" alongside Pierce Brosnan and he can also be seen in Nicholas Sparks' romantic drama "The Best Of Me".

And now the 25-year old actor is all set for "Point Break" remake. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Luke Bracey revealed how much he wanted to play Johnny Utah. He said, "When I got the email saying they were looking at me and a couple of other guys for the role, my first instinct was that 'I have to get this. No one else can get this.' I know this guy so well and I love the original so much."

Bracey also said, "I've never worked so hard on anything in my life as for the preparation and filming of this movie. I am giving it everything I've got. It's a five-month shoot. I'm going to leave nothing on the path, and when I get to the end of it, I've got to be able to look myself in the mirror and know that I gave it everything I've got."

The Sydney-born actor is fearless because he has some big shoes to fill when he accepted the role of Johnny Utah. There will always be comparison with Keanu Reeves, but we are sure he can give justice to the character. When asked what viewers can expect in "Point Break" remake, the actor revealed that it will be global.

Luke Bracey said, "We are expanding it over the world. The original Point Break has such a global fan base, and what we're doing is incorporating the world into this new one. We are taking it out of Southern California and giving it over to the world and letting them into it. Everyone we've met while filming over here in Europe, they love the original, and I think it's really nice that we get to set this new one all over the world, because people all over the world love this story.

How do you feel about Luke Bracey being casted as Johnny Utah in "Point Break" remake?
