"Doctor Who" season 8 spoilers reveal that the Time Lord and Clara will go searching for Robin Hood in what was described the most comedic turn of the new season yet. Meanwhile, a scene is edited out in light of the beheading of journalists by Islamic extremists.
According to London Metro's "Doctor Who" season 8 spoilers, the episode is going to be titled "Robot of Sherwood" and will guest star Tom Riley as Robin Hood and Ben Miller as the Sheriff of Nottingham. It is going to be penned by Mark Gattis who was also responsible for "The Crimson Horror" and "Idiot's Lantern" episodes.
The publication said that Robin Hood is going to be the 11th "major historical figure" since "Doctor Who" returned to the boob tube in 2005. The other iconic figures that the Time Lord interacted with include Adolf Hitler, Queen Victoria, Nefertiti, William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Elizabeth I, Winston Churchhill, Agatha Christie, Madame de Pompadour and Vincent Van Gogh.
Tim Liew wrote several "Doctor Who" season 8 spoilers for Metro of the things to watch out for in "Robot of Sherwood."
He said that the Doctor will demonstrate "surprising proficiency with an unusual weapon." Clara will also showcase a new skill "that could come handy in sticky situations. The Doctor will revert back to his familiar way of comparing humans to tasteful desserts as he called one man a "pudding-headed primitive."
Meanwhile, more "Doctor Who" season 8 spoilers were reported by BBC as it claimed that a scene involving a beheading was edited out in light of the murder of two US journalists, James Foley and Steven Sotloff, by the Islamic State militants.
A spokesman for the British network said that, "In light of recent news events, we have made an edit to episode three out of respect."
