Actor Lee Seung Gi recently celebrated his tenth year as a celebrity, and he talks about the next ten years he plans on spending in the entertainment business.
During an interview with news portal Star News, he discusses the past ten years he has spent as a singer, actor, host, and variety star.
He shared, "Has it only been ten years? When I was a rookie, I thought seniors who had six to seven years of experience were huge stars, but now, as I've reached my tenth year, I still don't have the confidence and maturity that I thought I would have by now."
On his recently concluded drama "You're All Surrounded," he said, "I did my best as to not hinder my senior Cha Seung Won. My character Dae Gu has deep emotions, and to fully expand his potential, I studied and learned the script to know if it could be improved."
Into his tenth year, he enters a new field: movies. Lee Seung Gi stars in the upcoming film "Today's Love" with his "Shining Inheritance" co-star Moon Chae Won, whom he reunited with after ten years.
On being a movie star, he said, "I received a lot of offers over the years, but even when I had projects I wanted to do, there were always conflicts of interest and schedule."
He added, "I had a difficult time coping with the difference in filming a movie and a drama, but I learned how to be more detailed from the experience."
"Today's Love" is expected to premiere by the first half of 2015.
