Good news Mortal Kombat fans as new updates for Mortal Kombat X have been revealed.

The NetherRealm Studios has announced the official release date of Mortal Kombat X.

According to reports from Gamerant, MKX is set to be released on April 14, 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and for the PC. In addition, the website added that the Shokan warrior Goro will return to the new Mortal Kombat game as a pre-ordered DLC character.

Raiden and Kano have already been introduced in the roster of Mortal Kombat X and Goro is latest old school Mortal Kombat character joining the game along with Scorpion and Sub-zero.

Gamer Headlines has reported that YouTube username “Maximilian Dood” uploaded a game review of Mortal Kombat X, and mentioned that Ermac and Smoke are possibly added to game.

The game website also posted a concept art design of Ermac, and a photo of Smoke being killed by Kotal Khan.

Playstationlifestyle.net also reported that Motaro might comeback in the new Mortal Kombat title, although NetherRealm Studios or Ed Boon had any sort of confirmation about it.

Meanwhile, a new gameplay is added in Mortal Kombat X

According to reports from The Latino Post, Mortal Kombat X will have an online gameplay mode and according to NetherRealm Studios, players will have an opportunity to battle other players online as quote that "every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy".

Lastly, Ed Boon teased a new and brutal Fatality finishing move in the game.

“For those who are familiar with Mortal Kombat, we first had the Fatality, and we added the Babality. We had the Friendship moves, Brutality moves and all of these crazy things over the years. We are going to be reinstating an ‘-ality’ from a previous game into Mortal Kombat X. And I can’t wait to be able to talk about it, but at the moment I can’t."

“A lot of the new characters are those that came into power after MK9. Kotal Khan is one of them. He was one of the rulers of Outworld during that 25-year period, and the story mode basically follows his rise and fall. So yeah, a lot of old faces won’t make the roster, but to us it was more important we did introduce new characters. We’re probably introducing more in this game than in any other MK title ever.”
