In "My Spring Day" Girls Generation's Sooyoung plays a young woman who knows how lucky she is to be alive. The recipient of a heart transplant, she treasures every day of her new life and feels very grateful to the woman whose heart saved hers. What she does not know is that she's about to fall in love with the man who was married to that woman.

Singer and actress Sooyoung spoke about her role with the Korea Herald and said that she felt lucky to hve a chance to work with her co-star and acting senior Kam Woo Sung.

"His words of encouragement helped me relax," she said.

What else should you know about this talented actress, singer, dancer and emcee? Here are a few facts.

1. Before joining Girls Generation she was a member of the Korean-Japanese duo with Marina Takahashi. Sooyoung became part of the duo after first place in the 2002 Korea-Japan Ultra Idol Duo audition. The duo released three singles. Making the collaboration easier is the fact that she's fluent in Japanese. She also speaks basic English and Chinese

2. It's rumored that she eats six to seven times a day but that's okay since she does not gain weight easily. She's the tallest and also the skinniest member of Girls Generation.

In a Soompi interview she said, "I hate it when people ask if I'm sick. I'm really healthy and just can't gain weight."

3. Sooyong is not the only celebrity in her family. Her older sister Choi Soo Jin is a musical theater actress. She also dubs movies and does television narration.

"Before I debuted as a singer I was determined to try acting," she said. "I prepared to be an actress even before my debut as a singer, too, and I think I′ve failed to pass more than 70 auditions. Still, I couldn′t give up."
