Derrick Rose Stats: Chicago Bulls are keeping tab of Rose’ FIBA Performance

Even though Derrick Rose is far away from in Spain, the Chicago Bulls are still keeping tab of his performance while offshore.

Currently, Rose is playing with the US National Team at the FIBA World Cup and his team back in the mainland is checking up on him but according to them they are not counting his missed shots at all.

This is the first time that Rose is playing after coming off the bench and his statistics shows that he is averaging 5.4 points in 17.3 minutes a game, shooting 27.3 percent (15-for-55) and has made just 1-of-17 3-point tries through eight games.

But what is most important in his performance is that he is able to adapt well with the strict scheduled of tournaments even if he has not played for almost two years due to a knee surgery.

Bulls vice president for basketball operations John Paxson said "I know that everyone is paying attention to his numbers. I'm certainly not. I've liked the way he's moved on the floor, his explosiveness. You see at times where he just turns on the jets and explodes. Those are the things I focus on."

He added "If you remember last year when he played those 10 games, he struggled, there was rust on him. There's going to be. He hasn't played much in two years. But he looks good; his movement is good and his athleticism's good."

Bulls general manager Gar Forman is delighted of what he is seeing with Rose saying "The biggest thing for us is to see him make Derrick Rose-type plays again, and he's showed us that."

Rose was drafted first overall by the Chicago Bulls in 2008 NBA Draft. In his first year of professional basketball, Rose was voted the Rookie of the Year.

Rose was selected as an NBA All-Star for the 2010 NBA All-Star Game and he was also named a starter for the U.S. team at the 2010 FIBA World Championships.

News of Rose having a fall out with the Bulls Management emerged a few months ago but the Bulls disregarded the issue saying all is well from both camps.
