"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars Teresa and Joe Giudice have put their beach house on the market as their October 2 sentencing approaches, according to E! News.
Teresa and Joe Giudice reportedly plead guilty to multiple fraud charges in Newark Federal Court in March and are now choosing to downsize.
"They're nervous, as any couple going through a sentencing would be. And they're doing this while trying to maintain Teresa's career. It's a really, really unique case. Never before have a husband and wife been up for sentencing while on a live TV show. Right now, there's a ton of work going on behind scenes," the couple's legal crisis manager Wendy Feldman told the entertainment website.
The four-bedroom beach house that is being put on the market will be listed in the "low $300,000 range," according to Radar Online.
"It's being put on the market today, and the sale of the house will give Joe and Teresa money to pay off some creditors, and give them some cash," a source told the gossip website.
The insider added, "It was a very tough decision for Teresa to decide to sell the house. Knowing this would be their last summer at the beach house was bittersweet for her, but she knew it had to be done."
The Giudices have reportedly listed their New Jersey mansion for $3.99 million earlier this month as well.
"This is a house that has a lot of bad memories for them. It's time for a change. They feel it will be a positive one. They want to move into a space that's less about entertaining and more about family," a source told E!.
Teresa and Joe Giudice are reportedly "desperately trying to get all of their affairs in order before their October 2 sentencing," according to the source.
The insider continued, "It's been a very difficult time for the family, but they are getting through it the best they can."
