Rosie O'Donnell has returned to "The View" after finally speaking up about why she left the female-oriented talk show back in 2007.

According to a report from Entertainment Wise, Rosie O'Donnell decided to leave "The View" because she "didn't ever want to be paid to fight with another woman."

The comedienne was referring to her controversial feud with another former host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

The 52-year-old recalled the fight in a video from the show's website: "I was in the middle of a divorce. It was a little bit stressful in my personal life and it became a little bit stressful in my professional life as well."

"I think the environment was one that didn't really gel with who I was. I didn't ever want to be paid to fight with another woman," Rosie O'Donnell said about "The View"

The known feminist added reported by Entertainment Wise: "I'm a feminist, I'm proud to be one... so no matter what the price, I would never argue with a pregnant woman for money."

"So I had to go," she concluded.

According to a report from Entertainment Tonight last week, the controversial comedienne blasted a former cast member, Sherri Shepherd. Referring to a comment made by the ex-host who left this summer, Rosie O'Donnell joked: "No one is going to think the Earth is flat."

The brutally frank host added that she "thought (she) was going to have an aneurysm" when she watched Sherri Shepherd on that particular episode.

Entertainment Tonight also revealed that after calling out Sherri Shepherd, the host went on to slam Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Rosie O'Donnell narrated that "Elisabeth would go into the dressing room with (executive producer Bill Geddie) and go over Republican talking points that are sent out every day, and then come out and recite what she had ingested."

"I tried to get her to talk more about her own self and how she felt rather than being a robotic pundit," she scoffed.
