TMZ Sports recently caught up with Ronda Rousey during one of her trips where she was asked for her opinion about the recently concluded fight between Fallon Fox and Tamikka Brents. Brent lost to Fox with a slight of controversial twist after the games.
Fox is an American mixed martial artist (MMA). She is the first openly transgender athlete in MMA history. She underwent gender reassignment surgery, breast augmentation, and hair transplant surgeries at the Bangkok International Hospital in 2006.
It was because of this that Rousey was asked of her opinion on the match between Fox and Brent and she said "I think it's one of those situations where it's a case-by-case thing. I actually tried to research a lot and I feel that if you already go through puberty as a man, it's something you can't really reverse. But there are people that are identified earlier on who are put on hormone replacement therapy until they're of legal age, and they can make a decision to get the sex change later. That would be acceptable, that would be fine, because they wouldn't have already developed the bone structure of a man, the muscular structure. You can't just reverse that. There's no 'undo' button on that. On a case-by-case basis, I think you really have to look at that, but in Fallon Fox's case, I think that she has an unfair advantage. It is outside of her control, but that unfortunately is her scenario. It's unfortunate especially for her competition, as well."
When asked whether she can knock out Fox she candidly answered "I can knockout anyone in the world. Everyone is competition, that's why I work harder than everyone else. I take everybody seriously, that's why I win. It's not because I had some radiation spilled on me, it's because I work harder than all these girls do, including Fallon. I ain't scared, homie."
Rousey is working on her words and not only on her muscles. She is indeed confident with her skills and that it would be intriguing to see a fight between Fox and Rousey in the near future. But that would have to wait as Rousey still has a long list of female MMA fighters waiting to get their hands on her.
