"Brookly Nine-Nine" season 2 spoilers promise more twists for the series as cast Terry Crews admitted to having similarities with the character he plays on the comedy show.
Co-creator Michael Schur talked "Brookly Nine-Nine" season 2 spoilers to 570 News as he promised that "there's some new twists" for the characters of the show.
"There's a lot of new things that are introduced in the first two episodes," he said.
The showrunner also said that he and Dan Goor, the co-creator of the show, found that there's not much police-based comedy on TV.
"There are certain reasons you would imagine people would be scared off from it because police work is often not hilarious but we felt with the right cast and with the right group of people doing it we can make a funny show," he explained.
While they are not really part of the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 2 spoilers, Terry Crews revealed fun facts about his character on the show as he told Rolling Stone that there are similarities with his real life.
He said that Mike Schur and Dan Goor called him and offered him the role even if he hasn't read the script yet.
"They were taking things out of my life. I told them how I enjoyed driving a minivan, that it was the perfect car for a family - they put that in the show," he recounted. "The fact that I was scared to get hurt when I was in the NFL because I was wondering how my kids were going to survive - they switched that around to the anxiety of police work."
"It was so cool; no one had ever done that. Brooklyn is the first show that gets me. What usually happens if you're a big black dude is that you get big black jokes," he added.
