Actress Amanda Bynes was reportedly arrested last weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
The 28-year-old could now reportedly face jail time if a judge revokes the three years' probation she is currently on for striking a Los Angeles County sheriff's cruiser while under the influence in April 2012.
Authorities will reportedly most likely ask a judge to find that Bynes has violated her probation, and to "impose new life-oversight measures based on information in the California Highway Patrol investigation," according to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter, according to the L.A. Times.
Bynes was reportedly taken into custody at around 4 a.m. on Sunday in Sherman Oaks after a CHP officer saw her allegedly stop her vehicle on Riverside Drive at a red light past the limit line and into the intersection with Van Nuys Boulevard. CHP Officer Leland Tang reportedly stated that Bynes was detained after appearing to be under the influence and failing a series of sobriety field tests.
Although Bynes' blood was drawn, it is unknown what kind of drugs the actress is alleged to have been using, according to Tang.
Amanda Bynes' parents currently have no idea where their daughter is or what she's been doing since she left their home once her conservatorship ended, according to TMZ. According to Bynes' father Rick, the couple learned of their daughter's arrest from the media.
Although Rick has speculated that Amanda Bynes might be in New York, the entertainment website has reportedly found that she's currently in the Hollywood area.
