Amanda Bynes' arrest earlier this week for reportedly driving under the influence of weed and Adderall has brought the "She's The Man" actress back into the headlines.
Aside from getting arrested, Bynes was also reportedly expelled from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, according to Gossip Cop.
Amanda Bynes reportedly didn't attend class and when she did show up, she was reportedly "conspicuously stoned," wore sunglasses, laughed inappropriately and got into "horrendous arguments," according to Gawker.
Students of the institute told TMZ that Bynes was allegedly caught cheating on a test and had paid classmates to do her homework for her.
Despite reports that Amanda Bynes' parents didn't want to continue their conservatorship of her because they felt that her problems resulted from the actress being spoiled and smoking too much weed, rather than mental health issues, a source close to the 28-year-old's family felt differently.
The insider told E! News that Bynes' family thought she was actually doing well before their daughter was arrested early Sunday morning.
"They truly believed Amanda was doing well based on the first and second semesters' grades, which were stellar," the source stated.
The former child star's parents, Rick and Lynn, reportedly felt things had changed once the conservatorship ended on September 10.
"Once the conservatorship has ended, it's a 'hard expire,.' That means the process has to start again. Well, the process cannot start again with just a DUI. It's gnig to reuiqre a 5150 - [psych hold] type situation again. She is not there yet," explained the source.
