K-Drama Stars Celebrate October Birthdays

Several k-drama stars celebrate their birthdays in October. And their accomplishments are worth celebrating.

Oct. 1: Kam Woo Sung plays the man Sooyoung's heart is drawn to in "Spring Days." The 44-year-old actor played the kindly clown protecting Lee Jun Ki in the film "The King and The Clown."

Oct. 3: Yoon Eun Hye turns 30 today and she recently finished filming "Chronicles of a Blood Merchant," an adaptation of the best-selling Chinese novel about a man who sells his blood to support his family. The actress has not been seen on the small screen since she co-starred with Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Sang Yoon in "Future's Choice."

Oct. 5: Song Seung Hoon will celebrate his birthday on Oct. 5. In 2014, Song starred the film "Obsessed," playing an officer who falls in love with his junior officer's wife. He also starred in the Chinese film "Third Way of Love." Now he is considering a role in the comedy "Wonderful Nightmare" with Uhm Jung Hwa.

As well as drawing critical praise for his role in the drama "A Secret Love Affair," Yoo Ah In had a supporting role in the film "Elegant Lies." Then he played a millionaire in the crime thriller "Veteran" and Crown Prince Sado in the period film "Sado." He turns 28 this year.

Oct. 10: miss A's Suzy Bae has not had any acting roles this year but she has continued to shoot plenty of commercials in between appearing with her band.

Oct. 11: Commedienne Kim Seul Gi can currently be seen in the romantic comedy "Discovery of Love." She plays Jung Yu Mi's best friend and business partner. She is also the object of Yoon Hyun Min's affections. This popular cast member of "Saturday Night Live Korea" turns 23 this year.

Kim Seul Gi shares her birthday with actress Bae Doona who turns 35 this year. The actress starred in the Wachowski production "Dohee Ya" in 2014 and then began filming "Sense8," a science fiction television series, created by the Wachowskis.

Oct 23: Seo In Guk had a good year, taking the starring role in "High School King of Manners" and making it his own.

Oct. 24: After her successful supporting role as Lee Min Ho's ex in "The Heirs," Krystal Jung snagged a leading role in the drama "My Lovable Girl," co-starring Rain and Infinite's L. She also appeared in a reality show with her sister, Jessica Jung, who recently left Girls Generation.

Oct. 30: Jun Ji Hyun's star shone even brighter this year due to her appearance as the Hallyu star in "You Who Came From The Stars." Her appearance in the film helped it win top honors at the Korea Drama Awards. She won a Daesang at the 2014 Baeksang Arts Awards. Her appearance in the drama also helped her win many lucrative commercial offers.
