Krystal Jung, the star of "My Lovable Girl" is the latest star to discuss whether or not she would date publicly.

In a recent interview with "High Cut" magazine, the f(x) singer was asked how she felt about dating now that she was 20. She said that she was open to the idea of dating although she still felt some hesitation about going public with a relationship.

"If I could, I would be open to the idea of getting into a relationship now, and I don't think my work would get in the way of that," said Krystal in the magazine. "I don't really want to date in public, though. I don't think it would be a very good idea."

Her views on the subject may have been shaped by the fact that her sister's relationship has come under a lot of scrutiny. Her sister Jessica Jung, who recently left the group Girls Generation, has been dating Korean-American investor Tyler Kwon. When Jessica left the group, many wondered if she would marry Tyler Kwon. Although she spoke about her marriage plans with her fellow Girls Generation members, he is reported to have said that the two are not engaged and have no plans for marriage.

Krystal's "My Lovable Girl" co-star Bi Rain, has also gone public with his relationship with actress Kim Tae Hee. The two went public with their relationship about a year ago while he was still serving his mandatory military duty. When they were first dating, they met in cars and parks, covering their faces with masks and hats. But eventually, they decided to go public. Whenever they do go out on a date together, the media follows them but at least they don't have to cover their faces.

Other members of f(x) have been involved in dating rumors, most notably Sulli, who was said to be dating Dynamic Duo's Choiza. At first his agency denied the rumors but then the two decided to go public with the fact that they were dating. The rumors created a lot of pressure for Sulli, who previously had been hospitalized due to stress-related stomach pains. The stress forced her to take a break from her activities as a singer and an actress.

Actors who consider dating are often faced with the question of whether to go public or not. If they do go public, they face intense scrutiny while they are dating and if they eventually break up, their heartbreak receives plenty of media attention. If they choose to keep their relationship private, they may also be hounded by malicious rumors.

This summer rumors began to spread that Krystal was dating Big Bang's T.O.P. but neither agency even bothered to deny the rumors.
