Fappening part 5: Matt Smith, Daisy Lowe Latest Victims Of Hollywood Nude Photo Leak, Celebs Anticipate An End To Targeted iCloud Account Hacks As Internet Commentators Decry 'iCloud Selfies A Bad Move'?
The Fappening continues with another reported string of nude celeb photos on the Internet. This time its Doctor Who star, Matt Smith and Daisy Lowe, his ex-girlfriend. The new additions to the Fappening collection emerged as the entire hacked photo saga was dwindling down to an end.
In the wake of stolen iPhone photos from Apple's security service, iCloud, stars such as Jennifer Lawrence, who was among the first to be exposed on the Web via Reddit and 4Chan image site, have asked the authorities and Cupertino-based Apple to look into the vicious crime. An attorney for Lawrence also said that those sharing Jennifer's hacked pictures would be persecuted.
But that has not stopped the 4Chan hacker who said he is not working alone and asked for bitcoin money in exchange for his pictures and videos.
The latest Fappening 5 shows Matt Smith and Daisy Lowe posing in front of a mirror at a hotel, according to SouthWales Evening Post. These photos have been shared to websites by 4Chan hackers. The Fappening 5 presumably includes 20 photos of stars in what is being called the 'fappening,' where a targeted attack on iCloud accounts and passwords led to photo hacks of celebs and famous people, mostly actresses in Hollywood. However, the Fappening 4 edition did include male stars. Nick Hogan, reality TV star and son of WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan was the first male to be targeted specifically for photo hacks. Kate Upton's boyfriend Justin Vilander was also part of an earlier fappening collection, but those were targeting model Kate Upton.
Matt Smith is the first UK star to join the hacked photo leak that began more than a month ago. Winona Ryder, Rihanna, AnnaLynne McCord, Victoria's Secret model Erin Heatherton, Kirsten Dunst, Kim Kardashian, Kate Upton, and Jennifer Lawrence are some of the other victims of the nude photo hack.
The Fappening photos have created more awareness and debate about the lack of safety on the Cloud, and the power of posting selfies on the Net, particularly private selfies taken solo or with friends and family. Former American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken was one commentator who took a tough stand on the selfies, saying the victim got 'what they deserved,' reports the Inquisitr.
