The latest "Iron Man 4" news got mixed reactions from fans because there's both good news and bad news. We reported a week ago that Robert Downey Jr. confirmed that there have been negotiations for another sequel. During an interview with Ellen De Generes, the host asked the actor if there will be "Iron Man 4".

Downey Jr. said, "I know there's going to be a bunch more Marvel movies and they have big ideas on how to do it best. And you know we're in the middle of negotiations (blah, blah, blah)." So Ellen asked him if it is a "yes" and he said "Ok, yes!". That really got many fans excited, but the bad news came out in a separate interview.

When David Letterman asked the star of "Avengers 2" if he will do another "Iron Man" movie, the actor was hesitant to reveal the truth. Robert Downey Jr. admitted, "Just between us, no, but I'm going to do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still going to be involved with Marvel...and there's going to be plenty of fun stuff to happen."

After revealing the latest "Iron Man 4" news, there have been reports coming out regarding the 49-year old actor's involvement with Marvel. According to Variety, Robert Downey Jr. is in negotiations to appear in "Captain America 3".

The third installment will start production in spring and will be released on May 6, 2016. Now that he has finished filming "The Avengers: Age of Ultron", he has time work on the Civil War storyline based on the Marvel comic book.

Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed returning in "Avengers 3", which is scheduled to be released in 2018. Since he confirmed not being included in "Iron Man 4", then he has time to work on "Captain America 3". The website reported that Tony Stark will go up against Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). The two fight over the Superhero Registration Act wherein the U.S. government has access to the real identities of the superheroes.

Caught between the battle is your favorite superhero Spider-Man. Marvel Entertainment released a teaser poster for "Civil War", which showed Iron Man and Captain America pulling on the web-slinging superhero. In the comic book, Spider-Man removed his mask to reveal his real identity so I guess Captain America tried to stop him since he is against the Act.
