Based on the thriller written by Gillian Flynn, the movie centers on Nick and Amy Dune played by Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike respectively. Here is a short description from Google:

The movie was received with mostly good reviews from critics and moviegoers alike, and the word about the movie continues to spread. "Gone Girl" full movie has beaten Robert Downey Jr.'s "The Judge" and has remained unchallenged by new releases this week.

As TIME puts it, "Gone Girl, which stars Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, could become director David Fincher's most successful movie to date, as its $78.3 million gross approaches the $127.5 million domestic gross of 2008's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Variety reports."
