Actress Renee Zellweger made an appearance at Elle's 21st Annual Women in Hollywood Awards last night.

As the "Bridget Jones Diary" star does so often, she caused quite a bit of buzz with her unrecognizable face with her latest appearance as well, according to ABC 7.

"This Renee Zellweger plastic sugary scandal is messing with my head. There is no way that is the same woman. Not a chance," wrote Twitter user Georgie Cutts.

Fellow social media user Eric Stangel added, "Who is the new actress playing Renee Zellweger?"

The actress' completely wrinkle-free face has everyone else talking but Renee Zellweger, who has neither addressed the surgery rumors surrounding her new look or has yet to care.

Renee Zellweger has previously taken to media outlets to express her feelings about criticism regarding her fluctuating weight, a topic that has often been the focus among the public before the 45-year-old appeared at Monday's night's awards ceremony.

"When you read reports that you are starving yourself or that you are anorexic ti's very unfair and disappointing. It's not very pleasant to read reports which say you've gone too far or this or that. I have a lifestyle that involved keeping my sanity by going to the gym," explained Zellweger during an interview with U.K.'s Daily Express last November, according to Yahoo News.

Despite the speculation that Renee Zellweger is experiencing surgery complications, fans have stood up for the "Jerry Maguire" star.

"It's up to Renee Zellweger what Renee Zellweger wants to look like," commented Twitter user Josh Wolfe.

Social media user jeremycabo added, "You literally have zero say over Renee Zellweger or her body. It is appalling to mock anyone for their physical appearance. Period."
