A black bear cub was reportedly found wandering the aisles of a Rite Aid located in Oregon earlier this week, according to Fox News.
Although there was initial fear that the bear cub wound't be able to return to the wild due to the contact that its had now with humans, the animal is reportedly being prepared to go back to her natural habitat.
"Eventually, she should be released into the wild, if everything goes well, sometime next year," Michelle Dennehy, spokeswoman for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), stated.
She continued, "She is being rehabilitated for the return to the wild."
People found out about the female bear cub after footage of the animal walking around the drug store was caught on a smartphone camera. Police reportedly caught the cub into a shopping basket, according to the Associated Press.
The bear has reportedly been taken to the PAWS Wildlife Center in Lynnwood, Washington for rehabilitation. There are reportedly hopes that the cub will be released somewhere in southern Oregon next Spring.
"As of this moment the bear cub is doing well, behaving like a normal 5-7 month old American Black Bear cub," wrote PAWS Spokeswoman Kellie Benz, in an email to FoxNews.com.
Benz added, "Our hope is that she'll continue to respond well."
