J.K. Rowling is all about giving "Harry Potter" fans the best Halloween treat there could possibly be.
The author of the "Harry Potter" series will be releasing a story about former Hogwarts professor Dolores Umbridge, according to the media outlet Tulsa World.
Rowling made the exciting announcement on Friday through her website, pottermore.com. She reportedly revealed that she prepared a 1,700 story about Dolores Umbridge and that the story will appear on her website on Halloween, October 31.
The new content will be about "Umbridge's life filled with many new details, as well as Rowling's revealing first-person thoughts and reflections about the character," according to the announcement posted on the Pottermore website on October 24, according to website The INDY Channel.
For those who don't remember, Dolores Umbridge made her debut in the "Harry Potter" series in the fifth book, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." She was portrayed by Imelda Staunton in the film adaptations of the books.
The recent news comes a couple weeks after it was announced that the film adaptation of the Harry Potter spinoff "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" is in the works.
"Jo [Rowling] has a vision for this extension of the franchise, and for the first time, she is writing the script for what she believes is at least a trilogy," Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara said, according to the LA Times.
