The 28th American Cinematheque Awards, which was held on Tuesday night, was quite the family affair for Matthew McConaughey.

The Oscar-winning actor, who was being honored for all of the work he has done in the industry for during his 21-year career, stepped on the red carpet with his gorgeous wife, Camila Alves, her mother Fatima Alves, his own mother Kay McConaughey, her date CJ Carlig, and his two children with Camila, six-year-old Levi and four-year-old Vida.

The "Wolf of Wall Street" actor looked pretty dapper in his black Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo with a black bow tie.

Moreover, when he was on the stage to accept his American Cinematheque Award, it was his cute daughter who stole the spotlight when she came up onstage with her handsome daddy.

Christopher Nolan, the director of "Interstellar," made a speech in McConaughey's form. Apart from the known director, his former leading ladies also took to the stage to honor the Hollywood veteran. Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, and Jennifer Garner gave their separate short speeches in his honor.

The host of the event, Jimmy Kimmel, also poked some fun at the "Dallas Buyers Club" actor's many romantic comedy films. McConaughey said, with a huge smile on his face, "I enjoy romantic comedies and they paid great." Kimmel then said, "He's not just a pretty face. He's also got a hot body."

In Matthew McConaughey's acceptance speech, he said, "I enjoyed watching 22 years of my career thrown at me with the people with whom I had my career. I enjoyed the walk down memory lane."

He was also asked about what kind of advice he would give his adorable daughter, preferably an advice that he would take away from "How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days." He then answered, laughing, "Oh, where's Kate when I need her."

The "Magic Mike" star then answered, "Listen, I would say, 'Don't make it this hard. Don't make it this hard!' But, you know what, girls and boys play games with each other - and it can be fun - but, don't make it this hard!"
