Now that season 6 of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" has wrapped up, fans of the reality television show are now wondering who will be returning or joining the cast of the Bravo show.
Although Melissa Gorga has been a loyal member of RHONJ, there has been speculation that the Housewife was too "uninteresting" and "lacking a good storyline" to return for the next season, according to Rumorfix.
When her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, faced her recent trial and was sentenced to 15 months in prison while her husband Joe Giudice was sentenced to 41 months, Melissa Gorga reportedly didn't let cameras into her home to film her reaction, which may have also added to rumors that Joe Gorga's wife may no longer be interested in being a part of the RHONJ cast.
"We've been through so much together throughout the years. It's not always easy being on reality TV. I'm not complaining, because obviously I signed up for it, but there are times I wish I could turn it on and off. Unfortunately I don't have that option, so here we are," wrote Melissa Gorga on her Bravo blog.
Adding to the rumors, there have also been reports that Gorga's part on RHONJ had been reduced to a recurring role, according to The Inquistr. However, these reports have been shut down.
"Melissa has already been informed that Bravo is interested in having her back for season 7 and they are interested in having her back as a full time housewife," a source close to production told the website Mr. Real Housewives.
The insider added, "With things up in the air as far as Teresa, Bravo likely will not be making many changes to the cast, so you can definitely count on Melissa to be back."
Despite Gorga expressing that her job is actually quite difficult, she stated that she is still "happy that I get the opportunity to share my life with you," according to Reality Tea.
"Ive always said there are no other fans as passionate in the world as the RHONJ fans! We must be doing something right that you all have so much love for this show. Thank you!," continued Melissa Gorga.
So far, Jacqueline Laurita has reportedly confirmed her return to the show while Dina Manzo may not be returning next season. The three new cast members, Amber Marchese, Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano have not confirmed whether they'll be returning or not.
