Now that Kobe Bryant is at the eve of his first game after 10 months of resting, he said that he will not show a lesser performance from him as many would have expected.
He said "I know what I do out there in practice every day. You guys don't see it. My teammates know, but you guys don't see it. You haven't seen what you'll hopefully see in the regular season."
Bryant was only able to play six games last season before he was sidelined due to an injury. During the preseason games, Bryant showed a more fit and version of himself after his many injuries the past season. Even his coach isn't worried about playing him in back-to-backs.
He said "Every day we were waking up putting the puzzle back together. It's like the house had been smashed down to rubble and you know you got to build it back up, stone by stone, brick by brick."
Many believed that the Los Angeles Lakers will not make it to the playoffs for the second time as their casts are weak but Bryant thinks otherwise.
He said "I couldn't be happier. I am very fortunate. This is such an incredible organization. These types of organizations don't come around often. I feel very blessed to be able to be in one city."
Bryant is aware of the many doubts that us casted on him and his team but he responds in the best way that he can.
He said "It's about me trying to answer this challenge, myself seeing if I can do it or can't do it. I'm just kind of in enjoyment of trying to build again out of where I am now. That's really the challenge of it. What comes out of that, comes out of that. Whether another injury happens or Father Time catches me and sits me down remains to be seen. I'm not concerned about that. I will do what I can do and that's prepare and be ready. Now, I just got to go out there and let it flow."
The Lakers open the 2014-15 season on Tuesday against the Houston Rockets.
