Jack Whitehall was reportedly not happy with James Corden's reference to him as a "poor man's Rylan" last Friday. The famous comedian was presenting The Feeling Nuts Comedy Night on Channel 4 at the time in order to help raise awareness for testicular cancer.
When the show started, the host took a stroll through the audience and stopped when he reached James Corden and famous pop tandem, Rizzle Kicks. The duo was scheduled to perform on the state later that evening.
Whitehall told Rizzle Kicks, "You're so kind to perform for us tonight." Everything was going well, when Whitehall made a comment that seemed to have hit a nerve with Corden.
Jack Whitehall asked the pop duo, pointing at James Corden, "Why do you always collaborate with this man instead of me? He's like a poor man's Gary Barlow!" Corden then retaliated by grabbing the microphone and saying, "I'd rather be a poor man's Gary Barlow than a poor man's Rylan," sending the entire audience to burst into laughter.
The banter, which Whitehall started, did not stop there. Moments later, the host spoke to the audience once again, telling them how important it was for men to check their testicles on a regular basis. He faced Corden and Rizzle Kicks again and asked them how often they checked themselves.
Corden, who is known for being pretty quick with his wits, answered, "I used to do it once a month, but I don't anymore because your mum does it. She actually checks a lot of us guys every week in a car park." Whitehall then laughed at this comment and turned to Rizzle Kicks, saying, "I don't want to collaborate with you guys anymore. You're nothing but a poor man's PJ and Duncan!"
The Feeling Nuts Comedy Night can be seen on Channel 4 every Friday at 11:05 p.m.
