Baby wipes sold at major stores nationwide and online are reportedly being recalled because they may not be clean enough, according to the NY Daily News.
Some of the wipes - distributed to Sam's Club, Family Dollar, Walgreens, Diapers-dot-com and Fred's - were reportedly found to contain the bacteria B. cepacia, which might not be safe to those with a weakened immune system or a chronic lung disease.
The recent tests that showed the presence of the bacteria were reportedly conducted because of a "small number" of complaints about odor and discoloration, stated Nutek Disposables of McElhattan, Pennsylvania, according to San Jose Mercury News.
The baby wipes that have been determined not clean enough or unsafe are reportedly made by Nutek Disposables and were sold under brand names Cuties, Diaperson.com, Femtex, Fred's, Kidgets, Member's Mark, Simply Right, Sunny Smiles, Tender Touch and Well Beginnings.
The wipes were reportedly distributed before October 21 to various retail stores.
Baby wipes that were bought can reportedly be returned to the stores for a full refund. For more information, the company can be contacted at 1-855-646-4351.
