The originals season 2

Vampires and werewolves have been fighting each other for the longest time in New Orleans, but this time, they are forced to work together to prevent Esther from destroying the lives of innocent kids. Read on for this week's 'The Originals' season 2 recap!

Proceeding with her plan to unite the Mikaelson family in the most horrid way, Esther sends her wolves to chase Marcel and his group of new vampires away. Thinking that they need more werewolves to order around, Finn brings in a group of unturned wolves to meet the new pack leader, Aidan. The group includes his little brother.

In the mean time, Elijah takes up his role as instructor and starts to train Gia to fight. Is it just the intensity of the training or are there sparks flying between teacher and pupil?

With his brother in danger of turning into a werewolf, Aiden asks for help from Hayley and the vampires. They agree to help him and proceed with the plan to take save them that night. They proceed as planned, with Elijah and Oliver standing as bait for the werewolves.

The wolves aren't there for the kids though. They were actually ordered to bring Elijah back. Finn and Esther manage to trap Elijah, putting him in a whole lot of pain along the way. She wants to purify him of his vampirism and we can only imagine how painful that would be.

On the other hand, Klaus uses Cammie to find out where Divina and Michael are hiding. They set off to "reason" with the teen witch but Cammie refuses to just give up. She lures the vindictive hybrid into confiding in her.

"There is no satisfaction in revenge," she tells him and for a second, Klaus looked like he would actually listen to her. However, he leaves Cammie behind to go find his father alone.

Moving forward in this 'The Originals' season 2 recap, Divina finally lets Khol know where she is, giving him an opening to free Michael from the binding spell. Not telling Esther about Michael, freeing him from Divina's spell - what exactly is he planning to do?

With the spell gone, Michael and Klaus fight. This must be the late night fighting Joseph Morgan (who plays Klaus) and Sebastian Roche (who plays Michael) were talking about on Twitter a couple of months ago.

Despite his eagerness to kill Michael, however, Klaus actually listened to Cammie's earlier request not to seek revenge. He opts to just stab him with Papa Tunde's knife which would still keep him perpetual pain. Towards the end of the episode, however, Daddy Original manages to pull the knife off - right as Klaus drives off with him in the trunk of his car. That looks very ominous.

On a side note, Josh finally meets the guy he's been chatting with and it turns out, he was actually Aiden. Is this the start of a werewolf-vampire romance again?

Look forward to more 'The Originals' season 2 recaps here!
