Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his girlfriend, Mara Lane, are now recognized as red carpet regulars. They showed up looking quite glamorously at last month's Annual Barretstown Gala ball, which was held in Dublin.
Just recently, the couple then took off to another VIP event, the Irish Post Awards in London. The former star of "Tudors" was actually the guest of honor at the glittering event. The night also showcased famous designers, Paul Costelloe and Louise Kennedy, popular football legend Liam Brady, Eamonn Holmes, and Michael Flatley.
The Cork native also got the publication's Legend award for everything that he has contributed to the entertainment industry.
Lane took to Twitter to gush on her boyfriend, "Congratulations, sweetheart, on your award at the #IrishPostAwards. So lovely to share this wonderful evening with you. XO."
Jonathan Rhys Meyers girlfriend chose to wear a pastel blue gown that had a sweetheart neckline, while Meyers looked to be half stuck to neutrals as he looked quite dapper in a suit, which he styled with a t-shirt, and a classic trench coat.
The event was attended by 700 guests and was hosted by the famous broadcaster, Eamonn Holmes.
At the event, Meyers said, "Being Irish is special," after he paid tribute to his home country as he was given the Irish Post Legend Award. It is clear that the famous Hollywood star will always have a special place in his heart for his native land.
He also gave a few words about his love and admiration for the peace and quiet that the Irish countryside is quite famous for. Even though he stars alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood today, but it was not always like that for him as he grew up on a farm.
"There was something about Irish country people," Meyers shared. "Something about the land that really made me very proud."
