Amanda Bynes has been keeping the public updated with news regarding her mental state via Twitter after being released from a facility in Pasadena, California.
The actress' most recent post on Twitter regarding her diagnosis had put a lot of things in perspective for several hours.
"I was diagnosed bi-polar and manic depressive so I'm on medication and I'm seeing my psychologist and psychiatrist weekly so I'm fine," read one of the posts on the 28-year-old's Twitter account, according to CNN.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, bipolar disorder reportedly causes intense emotional periods called "mood episodes," which range from extremely happy to the polar opposite.
Amanda Bynes reportedly disputed the post that was made within hours, writing, "I was at a friend's apartment last night and one of my friends tweeted my phone. Sorry guys!"
Whether the tweet made regarding Bynes' diagnosis is true of false, the "She's The Man" actress is currently under a court-ordered conservatorship, which puts her under the care of parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes, according to the NY Daily News.
The former Nickelodeon star opened up about the restrictions that her parents have put on her financially, claiming that they only give her "$50 dollars a day and it's really annoying." The "Hairspray" star reportedly stated that she needs to get her own apartment and openly refused to move back in with her parents, which she did during her conservatorship over the summer.
Her recent Twitter posts have also expressed disappointment with celebrity manager Sam Lutfi, who played a part in getting Amanda Bynes hospitalized early last month.
"I need to get a restraining order against Sam Lutfi," tweeted Bynes.
She continued, "I got discharged for not being gravely disabled."
