Britney Spears Vegas Show Extension A Mistake? Singer Refuses To Perform For Half-Empty Theater

Britney Spears reportedly signed a $30 million contract to extend her "Piece of Me" Las Vegas show until 2017, according to Radar Online.

As ticket sales have progressively been on the decline, Britney Spears and staffers might reportedly be getting nervous about the recent decision to renew the Vegas contract.

Online ticket sales have reportedly indicated that several of the upcoming Las Vegas shows will have a half-empty theater, which Britney Spears isn't too happy about.

"She said that there was no way in hell that she would perform to a half-empty theater," an insider reportedly told the gossip website.

The source added, "When everyone thought they had to go see her or else, the place was packed. But now that it is long-term, everything seems to have changed."

Despite the decline of sales, the mother-of-two reportedly plans to continue on with the contract and the show.

"Britney doesn't need the money. The security of two more years is great of her dancers, crew, and everyone involved, though, so she'll stick it out," stated the source.

Although news of her Las Vegas show hitting a rough patch isn't too pleasant for Britney Spears, recent reports have announced that the 32-year-old pop star may have found new love in her life. She is reportedly dating producer and writer Charlie Ebersol, according to E! News.

Ebersol is reportedly the son of TV producer and co-creator of "Saturday Night Live" Dick Ebersol.

"They met through friends. He is the sweetest guy ever and they are very much enjoying getting to know one another. They are both very happy and having fun. It's just the beginning so no idea if it will become serious but right now they are having a lot of fun," a source told the entertainment website.
