Yung Berg, one of the cast members of the VH1 reality TV show "Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood," was reportedly arrested following a domestic assault on his girlfriend at a New York City hotel, the New York Police Department told ABC News.

Although Yung Berg was reportedly charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and was expected in court today, it is unclear whether the rapper will remain on "Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood" as a cast member or what the next steps the producers of the show will be taking.

Either way, Yung Berg won't be able to live down the details of the alleged assault, which was recently released along with news of his arrest.

The incident reportedly happened at the Gershwin Hotel in Manhattan, New York, according to the website Radio.com. Police reportedly arrived on the scene at 2:15 a.m. after receiving a phone call reporting the assault.

The 30-year-old rapper and his 29-year-old girlfriend reportedly got into a dispute, which led to the reality television star allegedly getting violent. His girlfriend reported that Yung Berg, who was born Christian Ward, "grabbed her by her neck, threw her into the ground, dragged her by her hair and punched her in the face."

The woman had reportedly said that she was in pain, but refused medical attention at the scene, according to police.

Ward's girlfriend has been identified as fellow "Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood" cast member Masika Tucker, also known as Masika Kalysha, according to the media outlet Hip Hop Early.
