With Elijah in the hands of his mother, will he break and eventually beg Esther for salvation? Read 'The Originals' season 2 recap to find out what happened this week!
Fans finally see Nina Dobrev cross over from 'The Vampire Diaries' this week through Elijah's memories!
The Mikaelson siblings had been made to believe that Esther used the first doppelganger's blood to bind Kluas' wolf, eventually killing Tatia in the process. Elijah finds out, however, that he was actually the one who killed her and Esther was the one who took care of it.
From that day on, he created a Red Door where he kept all of the women he loved and killed hidden from his conscience. However, considering that Esther is the one assisting Elijah to remember these long lost moments, the whole thing seems way too suspicious and sinister.
This suspicion is further intensified towards the end of the episode when Hayley suddenly rescues him and she offers herself for him to feed on. He loses control and finishes her off. In actuality, he's been locked in a daydream where he is plagued with what could happen should he continue to live as a vampire. Will he eventually beg for salvation, just like what Esther wants or will he be able to fight her off?
On the other side of 'The Original' season 2 recap, Klaus finally figures out about Khol's new body - and so does Davina. That little discovery is put aside for now, however, with Mikael kidnapping Cammie for "leverage" but in his weakened state, he decides to snack on her a bit as well.
Klaus runs off to save Cammie while Davina and Khol figure out how to unlink Klaus from the rest of the vampires he created. They fail to finish the spell but they do render the white oak stake temporarily powerless. They manage to do this just as Mikael stabs Klaus with it.
Cammie pulls it out of Klaus just as Marcel and Hayley arrive to distract him. Does the tender moment they share afterwards give Cammie hope that Klaus can, indeed, change?
Once healed, he stands with Cammie, Marcel, Hayley, and surprisingly Davina and Khol as well, although the witches do make a run for it with the white oak stake later on.
Mikael flees for now but their problems just keep coming. They find out Elijah has been kidnapped and Klaus pretty much knows who did it.
Would he be able to get Elijah back next episode? Or will the older Mikaelson change sides after spending some quality time with mommy dearest?
